Skagit County has an immediate need for an Interim EMS Director as well as a long-term need for a Permanent Director.

The interim position is expected to last through the remainder of this year and will focus on maintaining services and preparing the 2018 budget. At that time, the Interim Director, if a good fit, will become permanent or may transition the role over to a permanent candidate.

Requirements


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible emergency management and/or emergency medical services experience, including project management. Ten years or more of experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, emergency management, emergency services or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience as a paramedic, or a registered nurse engaged in transport services, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with or a working knowledge of medical quality improvement systems.
