Job Details

Community Care Ambulance Network (CCAN) is a prominent emergency medical services (EMS) provider of a multi-tiered mobile healthcare service in a six (6)-county area of Northeastern Ohio. CCAN is a 9-1-1 provider for the cities of Ashtabula, Middlefield Township, and Middlefield Village, and is seeking an experienced and extremely qualified Director of Operations to join their management team.

The organization is committed to providing and sustaining a clinically-sophisticated and progressive level of pre-hospital and mobile healthcare demonstrated by superior customer satisfaction for the communities it serves.  A broadening of Community Ambulance’s leadership is essential to that goal.  Pursuant to this, a new position of Director of Operations has been created to lead Community Care Ambulance healthcare services.

The Director of Operations will be responsible for the oversight and performance of day-to-day EMS operations, including wheelchair and shuttle operations.  The Director of Operations will join the Executive Director, Director of Finance, Director of Customer Relations, and Director of Human Resources on the executive team. 

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and will include an excellent benefit and retirement package.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong clinical EMS background, preferably with proven experience in developing and maintaining a clinically excellent environment in an organization.
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare management, or related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of administrative/managerial experience in a comparably-sized EMS organization, preferably to include broad-based experience with non-emergency ambulance services, wheelchair services, and hospital contacting. 
  • Working knowledge of industry laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Paramedic field experience required.
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and monitor the work of different supervisors and others.
