Perform patient care skillfully and safely in accordance with Priority Medical Transport, LLC policies and procedures along with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The ALS Provider is to be competent, effectively interact with the patient and family, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional care.

Work in collaboration with Providers, Nurses, EMT’s, Drivers and other patient care staff, to provide responsible advanced life support care of the sick and injured. Provide leadership and guidance to all parties involved with patient care.

Assess the patient; document the patient’s current health status and medical history. Document accurate and ongoing patient assessments of patient’s status while under your care. Document patient response to care provided, patient needs, and any problems that arise while the patient is under your care.

Administer patient treatments and medications per protocol. Always follow Priority Medical Transport, LLC protocol unless specifically directed by the patient’s Physician per written/verbal orders. If verbal orders are given by the patients Physician to be followed, document the verbal orders in the patient care report.

Treat patients and their family with concern and empathy, respect their confidentiality and privacy.

Operate emergency vehicles within the policies set forth by Priority Medical Transport, LLC. Maintain your vehicle and equipment at all times. Conduct vehicle checks and maintain maintenance/repairs as needed for safe operation of all emergency vehicles. 


All ALS Providers are to be a graduate of a quality training facility. One year of experience is preferred. Required licensure/certification includes current Nebraska State licensure and National Certification as a Paramedic or current Nebraska State licensure as a Registered Nurse. Must maintain a current State of Nebraska drivers license and the following certifications: CPR, ACLS, and PALS. All ALS providers are required to maintain CE’s and attend all mandatory training provided by Priority Medical Transport, LLC.

Physical Requirements: ability to lift 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally; while stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, pushing and pulling with frequent standing and walking. Ability to withstand long transport times beyond 4 hours.
